Designer Focus – Tangerine

Tangerine is a ready-to-wear, couture brand based in Abuja, Nigeria. The brand has a reputation for designing timeless, simple and elegant pieces. Creative director Ibee Egbuson quit her 9-to-5 job 4 years ago to pursue a career in the Fashion industry.

If you want to embrace vibrant colours and ditch the black dress in favour of Tangerine palettes, you’ll definitely get noticed – especially if you’re wearing a piece from the latest collection.

Right now we’re crushing on the bright yellow hue fitted dress – as a fresh alternative to the classic #LBD. This creation definitely sets out to emphasize a slim hourglass silhouette.

”The tangerine woman is no slave to trend”, Ibee said. “She has plenty of funk, regardless of her age; African or otherwise. She is simple, classy, stylish and definitely loves colours!”.

The brand is working towards stocking pieces with retail outlets in the major cities of Nigeria and beyond. In the meantime Tangerine’s pieces can be found in the brand’s outlet based in Kaura Modern Market, Abuja.

Tony Smith was in the front row at Africa Fashion Week London to capture Ibee’s best pieces. Let us know what you think over on Facebook.

You can contact Tangerine via their Facebook page or Twitter Handel.
